for whatever it's worth. During my installation of the Garmin G3X panel, the tachometer
would not give a steady reading, that's why I started this discussion.
What I found out was, the current wave put out by the alternator needed to
have a filter installed to "quiet" it down to get a reliable signal. My avionics
guy made one from a discussion that I had with Bob Nuckells from another
forum here.
