We have several of the new ground adjustable propellers. We set the static run at 2650 and at 2850 we get 140 kts On Fri, Aug 17, 2018, 2:14 PM wrote: > > Has anybody experienced the Jabriu 3300 Gen 4 yet in the Lightning? I assume the 140k is TAS, not IAS...? Also, is that in a plane being registered as S-LSA or at least as EAB/LSA compliant? If so, you have very firmly captured my attention. I'm flying a Pulsar III with Jabiru 2200 and cruise @ 150 MPH TAS. I forget what RPM is right now but I'm fairly impressed with this performance from the airframe/85HP powerplant combination. I have been considering the Lighting as my next LSA-Compliant plane with the goal of having as much performance/payload/comfort/durability and sporty handling as possible from a design accepted as LSA-Compliant. In other words, if I could attain my Private certificate, I'd be flying a Lancair, Glasair or Tango.
