Dave and Mel,
I had my LOM generator repaired at an auto generator/alternator repair shop
at 105 hours TT on the engine. It worked fine, until a I installed the 10
pound lighter B&C alternator/regulator.

Dave,
Almost any industrial auto generator and starter repair depot should have no
problem fixing your starter.
Recently took in the starter from my diesel tractor (giant sucker) and they
fixed it fine. Rewound the armature I think.
