| Subject: | How do I check for a rusty cam? |
I have my eye on an 0290 with 0 smoh and the seller says he had FBO
check last week and verified the cylinders have no corrosion or carbon
buildup. This goes along with his story that the engine has not run
SMOH. He bought from a military AP's widow some years ago to put into
his experimental but is no longer doing the project. Is there an easy
way to check the cam for corrosion or must we pull a jug to see the cam?
It's been here in AZ SOH.
