Tompkins, P.E." Subject: LycomingEngines-List: IO-360 converted to carbureted Does anyone have experience with a 200HP IO-360 that was converted to carburetor fuel system? It sounds like the only change was to fuel delivery, i.e., the higher compression pistons, 200HP sump and intakes were used. FI was removed and carb installed. Other than susceptability for carb ice, are there any other disadvantages to this swap? Seems like the engine should still make 200 HP if the installed carb is not a flow restriction.
