My first impulse would be to discuss this with Whirlwind...
Sudden, large throttle changes with constant speed props does not a happy e
ngine make... From your description I suspect the prop draws enough oil whe
n going from high pitch to flat pitch to momentarily suck down the oil gall
ey causing your pressure gauge to fluctuate... How about using gradual thro
ttle reduction to minimize sudden oil demands by the prop?-
As far as not reaching 2700,- the manufacturer will have that answer...
