Primer in and Locked Mixture - Full Rich Throttle - 1/4" in Mags on BOTH This should give you 1000 RPM Now try... What is the idle showing? 650 to 700 RPM? Do you have a fuel flow gage? At idle it should be about 2 GPH. Have you PRE FLIGHTED the plane? Are your Breather Vents Clear? Check - Tank Vents Check - Breather Tube How is your AIR FILTER? How is any SCAT Tubing going to the Carb? Any collapsed SCAT? Any Birds nests? Ingest any birds lately? Any SCAT/SKEET de-laminating? How is the Range of Motion of the: Mixture Control? Throttle Control? When was the last time you inspected the Carb Bowl Filter? Or drained the Carb Bowl? Check the rubber coupling between the intake tubes and sump: Any cracking? Over tightening of the clamps. Do you have an Alternate Vacuum System that runs off the intake? Check it for leaks. Q: When it dies ... Does it die because if a LEAN MIXTURE or a RICH MIXTURE? What color are your plugs and exhaust pipe? OK, enough for this list... You've got some checking to do. Let us know how you made out.
