Subject: Loose dipstick tube
The reason for safety wire in both directions is:

When you check the oil=2C over time=2C when you screw the dipstick back in
=0A
you are tightening the dipstick tube=2C compressing the gasket more than
=0A
it was when you installed it.
=0A

After doing this over and over the tube is loose due to the compressed =0A
gasket. When the tube is properly installed and safetyed in both =0A
directions it stay exactly as it was when it was installed=2C and never =0A
gets over torqued and eventual over compressed. The=0A
backward safety prevent over torquing when checking the oil=2C which =0A
compresses the gasket and causes it to become loose.

I have done this for for years and it works. I have no loose dipstick tubes
