Thanks to all for your suggestions! Ill have a closer look at the probe and cables and check for good connection at the instrument terminals. Regards, Markus Probe. If you have a connector in line with the probe you might get lucky and find that is the problem - for that matter look over the probe wire itself to see if it has chaffed or otherwise damaged. The needle in the temp gauge (Westach twin indicator for oil pressure and temp) is not moving slowly but jumping quite fast back and forth. > It seemed to be ok when I warmed up the oil on the ground before an oil-change, but in flight (with higher oil temps) the problem came back. > > Has anyone seen something like this before and can give some recommendations to what we should look at? Im suspecting the temp probe right now, but as the plane is more then an hour away from my home, Id rather get as much suggestions from anyone experienced, before getting lost an endless "trial and error" hunt , chasing the issue. > > Thanks, > Markus > > ========== rum - mingEngines-List" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">http://www.matronics.com/Navigator?LycomingEngines-List[http://www.matronics.com/Navigator?LycomingEngines-List] ========== FORUMS - eferrer" target="_blank">http://forums.matronics.com[http://forums.matronics.com] ========== b Site - -Matt Dralle, List Admin. rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">http://www.matronics.com/contribution[http://www.matronics.com/contribution] ==========
