I plan on machining new ST-122 pressure plates and 8 bolts/n uts to separate the engine case since Lycoming does not provide this tool a nymore. Does anybody have the dimensions of the Lycoming pressure plates ST-122 and the size of the bolts/nuts used to separate Lycoming crankcases. I unders tand the ST-122-2 bolts thread onto the crankcase Thru-Studs, plates instal led both sides of the case with nuts & washers added to the ST-122-2 bolts to secure the plates. When the nuts are tightened down it causes the press ure plates push against the other Thru-Studs that are up against the inside of the pressure plates, causing the case halves to separate. Specifically , what is O/D of the ST-122-2 bolts, the inside depth the bolts are threade d to accept the Thru-Studs? Also, what size thread is on the outside of th e bolts and nuts? Any information regarding the ST-122 tool will be gratefully appreciated. Mark Ft.
