I have CHT on #3, 6, and 9. #3 runs 20 to 25 C hotter than the other two.
Baffling is sealed up pretty good all around. It would seem 3 and 9 would
be similar as far as air flow. This is a Murphy Moose with the main outlet
on the bottom and two smaller air outlets on the side cheeks.
For starters what is the best way to test the CHT probe and make sure it is
not off?

I would start by changing one of the probes on the #6 or #9 cylinders with
the one that is indicating hotter.
This should tell you if the probe is bad.
