Hello to the list. I'm scratch building a Fairchild 51 in Ottawa Canada. The 51
is the smaller brother to the more popular Fairchild 71's and FC2W2's. I've
got a fresh Housai 285 hp engine, prop on hand and the fuselage will be about
done this fall. Wings will get done over the winter.
Here's the questions please...has anyone compiled a "radial engine install manual"
for scratch built projects? A pneumatic schematic, simple oil system schematic
(non inverted use) , basic info for carb or cabin heat systems, what elevation
must
the oil tank be in relation to the engine, ...that sort of stuff. I'm aware of
the intake
drain business and the availability of western fittings. I've got the pneumatic
starter
valve parts on hand. Thanks.
