Dennis, Not all engines are created equal. A "B" engine has stronger accessory drive and different accessories. The M14P should develop about 880 MM (+,- 10) at sea level, on a standard day at WOT. 905 seems a bit high, but that could also be due to the accuracy or calibration of the manifold pressure gauge. What does the Manifold pressure gauge read with the engine shut down? Thanks George. Note - I did say M14P in my comments because I do not have any information on the "B" engine. Can you explain how the stronger accessory drive on the "B" engine yields a higher MP? Is the supercharger on the "B" engine turning at a different ratio than the "P" engine? Sounds about right as the B has a blower ratio of 8.65 to 1 versus 8.1 to 1 on the P. I get about 37.5" on mine on a standard day. The PF pulls about 40" with a 10 to 1 blower. I have the blower ratios written down from some conversation with a Russian. I'm sure Steve Culp and George Coy know a lot more about them than me. Steve Rhodes Moose N907W Anchorage, AK

Thanks Steve. That is excellent information. The "P" will pull just about 35" (34.85" more accurately) at WOT, at sea level and on a standard day. Steve et. al. So I guess I was getting about 905mmHg. or so. Still need to fly it though. Too smoky and windy today so maybe in the next couple of days if Tropical Storm Andrea lets me....
