It was manufactured in 1990 and has been sitting ever since (17 years)
The bids are up to $25,000. I almost think Id spring the extra $4000 for a new
one.

I have been following the posts regarding the M14 P engine now for sale on ebay.
Given that I am currently in the market for a Yak 52 I'm wondering if there is
an overhaul facility here in the states for the engine and what the associated
expense for an overhaul is at this time??

Carl and Jill Hays of M14P can do engine overhauls. I don't know what the
cost is today, but you could certainly inquire. Their telephone number is
928-681-4400. They are located in Kingman, AZ.

Try Phillips Industrial 70. It is a 10 weight oil that looks like water. Low toxic
and billows white . $40 for 5 gal is what I pay. I do not mix anything with
it. Smoking Airplanes also listed it on the web after I recommended it.

Call Barrett Performance Engines, 918-835-1089. Monty and Allen now
have complete factory overhaul fixtures and a few things in development.
