Subject: | Pressure relief valve |
The Russian setting of this device (out of the Sukhoi and Yak books I
have) is 50 atmosphere, which equates to about 735 PSI.
The Russian system is designed to work at no higher than that pressure.
Exceed it at your own risk.
If you have an EMERGENCY blow-off valve that is designed in as an EXTRA
safety measure on your Moose Henry, then it might be a good idea to set
it a little higher than 735 PSI, in which case 800 PSI on the emergency
bottle blow-off valve might be reasonable. However, the primary
pressure regulator/relief-valve (whatever you want to call it) should be
set to keep the overall system pressure from not exceeding 735 PSI.
Best Regards,
Mark

What pressure should the pressure relief valve be set at? everybody
says the air tank should be set at 800 psi and the diagram says to set
it at 750, but then the thing would be blowing off all the time,
shouldn't it be set a little higher, something like 825 or something??
