    Subject: Fuel Flow
Hi all=2C Just to clarify=2C my 133L/hr is free flow from the wing tanks measured at the firewall connection flowing in a jerrycan. The fuel goes from the tank through the wing isolation valves=2C through a gascolator=2C through the fu el shutoff valve and through a check valve in parallel with a small fuel pu mp used for primer pressure. This flow is just driven by the head of the fuel tank located in the wings. It should be 125% of the max engine flow=2C this is a recomendation. I know that when the fuel line is connected to the engine and I am doing my ground test acceleration runs=2C the engine have all the fuel that it need =2C the flow must be 155L/hr. The gravity fuel flow aided by the fuel pump of the engine is more than eno ugh to maintain 7 PSI at the carburator. My question is: should I modify my piping to ensure a free flow of 125% of the maximum that the engine use at take off. My understanding of this recomendation is that when an airplane is aging th e various strainer will get clogged and the flow could be reduced enough to cause vapor lock problems. Does anyone know if the M14P fuel pump is suceptible to cavitation problem if the suction pressure is to low? Thanks Sylvain April
