Hi all=2C I have this question about the oil temperature for the M-14P=2C My oil temp erature is reaching 200 Deg F on take off and come down to 190F in flyght. The maximum should be 185 F acording to the manual. I had a look at the air ducting to the cooler and behind it=2C it is as goo d as I can get it. May be my oil cooler is not big enough. What would be the size of the oil cooler on a M-14P in a Moose aplication. Thanks Sylvain April=2C C-GFFO Murphy Moose.

The first question is where are you measuring the oil temperature. The Book values are oil inlet temperatures. That is the temperature of the oil as it leaves the tank and is pumped into the engine. If you are really reading continuous oil temps at 190 deg during flight then you may need to get more air through your oil cooler or get more cooling capacity. George Coy CAS Ltd. 714 Airport Rd.
