My oil pressure in the front cockpit shows good pressure, but in flight the indication is constantly erratic and the needle jumps around (plus and minus 20 psi from normal pressure) I had a passenger the other day and asked her to take a quick video of the panel in the back cockpit, when I checked out the video the oil pressure was constant but indicating only about 31 PSI? Where are the sending units located? I am guessing there are two sending units? Also how can I test which one is indicating the proper pressure? I have a YAK 52TW. Follow the oil pressure line from the oil pump to the firewall. It should go to the firewall under the center of the oil tank where there is a U shaped fitting. The legs of the U go to 2 fittings on the firewall. Now guess whats on the other side of the firewall? Yep! You guessed it. 2 oil pressure senders. Given the fact you have a TW and the instruments and senders are UMA, you may just want to call UMA and ask them what the normal output should be from the senders. Test them IAW UMAs instructions and go from there.
