Subject: M14PEngines-List: M14-P stop position

Hi all,

I would like to know what is the position to leave the engine cranckshaft s
top to help with the o=EFl that come out of the exhaust when you do your ha
nd prop checking for an hydraulic lock. I would assume it is with number on
e cylinder at top dead center, that this position would minimise the oil dr
aining in the lower cylinders
Sometime I have no oil at all coming out even after a month being parked bu
t most other days I make a real mess  so I am looking for a way to position
 the engine crankshaft to minimise that.

Without a series 2 nose case with a site window there is no way except openi
ng intake drain and wait 24 hours then pull blades until oil drains . Stop t
here. Otherwise pull. Ladies weekly if it=99s going to sit for a month
 or more.
