But firstly, although I've been involved with these aircraft and engines for over 40 years, I'm very far from an electrical expert! And indeed for the last 19 years, we have only been working, with Aerometal, our partner in Hungary, and supplying parts and work for the engines. So the bottom line is that I simply can't help. But I will separately send you the links to download the various manuals we have on the 52 and you might well find the answer there. I would also say that a good friend in the UK, Rob Rowe, is a very clever engineer, and has revised his own version of the electrical circuits on the 52 but is still perfecting it and doesn't want them to be published until they are perfect! I'm sorry I can't help more but good luck and best wishes Richard RICHARD GOODE AEROBATICS Rhodds Farm, Lyonshall, Hereford, HR5 3LW, UK Tel: +44 (0)1544 340120 e-mail: richard@rgaeros.com www.rgaeros.com WORLD LEADERS IN EAST EUROPEAN & CHINESE RADIAL AIRCRAFT ENGINES In partnership with Aerometal Kft, Hungary. I occasionally still get requests for electrical/Avionics help on Yaks, but I was asked a question that has me stumped. Could you help? The volt/ammeter on the 52 has three wires. One on the battery side of the shunt, one on the generator/load side of the shunt and a ground wire. The instrument itself has pins marked 1, 2, and 3. Can you tell me which wires go to which pins? The ground wire is the most critical to know which pin it goes to. I can figure out the other two. If you connect the ground to the wrong pin, you destroy the instrument. This gent has already done that. Twice. Best Regards and Thank You for your time and hopefully an answer.
