Subject: | cowl for murphy moose |
Does anybody know who makes the cowl for the murphy moose? I have
tried to order one from
Murphy Aircraft back in March. I was told by Jeff in shipping that it
would be ready in 8 weeks. Since
then, Jeff is no longer working there and I have not had any response
to my e-mails requesting an
update on my order or for a phone number to talk to a live person to
get the ball rolling again.
Any advise would be well appreciated.

Gene,
I would try George Coy at www.gesoco.com
If I recall correctly, the day I picked up my M14P from him, he mentioned
something about cowls for Mooses. (meese?) And they were metal. And that
made me create a mental note to contact him again when it came time for me
to work on the cowl/engine section. That was a couple years ago, but may it
still be worth a try.

Giday, Gene. I know Dan Horton down in Alabama was spinning cowls a couple of
years ago. I don't know if he is on the list and to respect his privacy, if you
email me
at dstroud@xplornet.com I'd be happy to email you his email address. He's a pretty
straight shooter and might be able to fix you up if no one else can.

Fred,
I talked to George yesterday and he had no leads on a cowl for the
moose. Seems anything metal would be at least
3000 dollars and it would have to be molded to fit..
Thanks just the same for your input.
