I am not sure about your question. The auto sparkplug conversion seems to
work very for people flying Yaks, CJ etc. I am hesitant about putting them
in an aircraft that would be used in IFR conditions or heavy rain. That is
only based on the fact that the 3/4 in barrel aviation spark plugs verses
5/8 inch barrel (RHM40E vs. the REM40E) were developed for radial engines
to fly in bad weather and are still referred to as the "All-Weather Plug"
(see the Champion spark plug numbering table)

Subject: MurphyMoose-List: Wires and Plugs
<henry.baker@nf.sympatico.ca>
I'm almost ready for my final inspection. After I fly off my 25 required
hours, I am taking a cross-country trip from Newfoundland to Alberta. My
partner thinks that I should change the plugs and wires as a safety issue.
He thinks that traveling that far will require going through a lot of
moisture. Does anyone else agree with this? Are the new wires and plugs
really better - besides the difference in price of replacing the plugs when
necessary. What are the best kit for replacing the Russian type?

Currently building a Murphy Moose - any help would be appreciated.
