We have flown our moose at 4000 pounds on Montana 3500 floats at sea
level. It takes between 18 and 20 seconds for takeoff. At lighter
weights it's 15 seconds. As usual is quite a trade-off between payload
and fuel. Our empty weight is 2990, about 200 pounds heavier than I had
hoped, but with six seats we have 150 pounds of seats in the airplane,
so just by taking out seats we can save weight.
