Thanks a lot Mike, I'll have to figure out why mine are so close.
I'd love to see pictures of the whole plane. You're graphics, panel,
interior. How did you route wires thru the baggage area? I'd like them to
be enclosed in the cable cover so I made a support inside so they would stay
well above the control cables. I never noticed how they did it on the
factory planes.

Gary:
I will send photos directly to you on Monday. I haven't taken one of
the plane with the decals on, so I will take that one on Monday and send
it with one of the panel and interior. The hangar where I am doing the
final assembly is not open on weekends.
I routed the cables as follows:
- Left side
All wires went around the door frame (inside
the frame)
- radio antenna (antenna is internal just behind the
left window)
- an aux power source on the back of the pilot seat
- the airframe ground (I ran a dedicated ground from
the tail to a junction box behind the passenger seat
where it connects with ground lines from the wings
and a connection to the engine). This is in addition
to the battery negative lines (which are not connected
to the frame at any location)
- Right side - all wires went around the door frame (inside the frame)
The following pass across the top of the right side to
the baggage partition:
- ELT 'phone cord' connection (ELT is on floor behind
baggage partition)
- transponder antenna wire (antenna is inside 2/3 of the way
to the tail)
- power and signal lines to the electric trim
The following follow the frame down to the floor of
the baggage compartment:
- power for strobe (unit is attached on the back of the
passenger seat)
- an aux power source behind the passenger seat
I also made supports for the inside of the cable cover but didn't think
of running the wires through it. I didn't notice how they did it on the
factory planes either. I have pictures of one of the factory planes and
I can't see any wires so they must have done what you did and put the
wires inside the cable cover.
