I do not believe it is strong enough - see FAA's bird strike testing - I recommend rigid plexiglass with at least .125 inches, available thru Ultravia. Thicker versions up to .250 may still be available thru LP Aero. I used .187 inche plexiglass which adds about 5.5 Lbs over stock LEXAN. Worth it for additional protection in my opinion. -----Original Message----- From: owner-pelican-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-pelican-list-server@matronics.com] On Behalf Of Terry's Autobody Sent: Monday, June 12, 2006 3:41 PM Subject: Pelican-List: windshield for pelican pl --> Pelican-List message posted by: "Terry's Autobody" --> does anyone know the thickness of the polycarbonate used in the pelican pl windshield mine has stress cracks in the corners and i would like to make a new one . thanks terry in sask. canada
