Question,,, If I'm in phase I , and run into my instructor with a zillion hours, who gave me my last BFR says "let me climb in the front and go flying" ( he never said it, only in my imagination). Is this in any way legal? Or as they say in the operating limitations " the second person has to be necessary for the flight". Just curious. walt NX140DL (north N.J.) ________________________________ Message 3 _____________________________________ Time: 05:05:12 PM PST US From: "Carl Loar" Subject: Re: Pietenpol-List: a question on reg's to get the winter juices flowing --> Pietenpol-List message posted by: "Carl Loar" Walt,,, I'm quite sure that your ship has to be flown solo untill you hours are done. Since there can only be one PIC, he would have to be a passenger. Now if your feeling real brave and he is qualified, you may let him take it around the pattern. ( He might remember that next BFR ). What's that thing about Murphy's law, or is it Murphy's soap, oh well, just keep flying you lucky dog and I'll be up there with ya real soon. Shooting for a January inspection.
