Dear Piet Friends,
Since our barnstorming hero Chuck Gantzer is going to all the trouble to stop in
Texas on his Way to Oshkosh, we decided to throw a Texas-Sized a cookout. Originally,
I sent this invite out to those in Texas that I know of. But I didn't
intend to leave anyone out. You are all invited to Tick Hill Airfield Sunday
July 18, 3pm till ????. Hope you can come. Please RSVP.
Email me for directions and I will email them direct since I can't post them to
the list.

Hi Pietters
Thought I'd pass this one out there, when I pulled the covers off the
power plant, I discovered I don't have the 108Hp Lycoming 0-235 but
instead a 100Hp 0-235 rated at 2600RPM. Have any of you guys got any
info on this power plant.
Thanks

The FAA Type Certificate Data Sheet # E223 shows a 100 hp version of the engine,
but it is rated at 2450 RPM. (not 2600) It is the model O-235-C1.
Here is the address for the FAA site with TCDS info.

Are any meals or activities planned for Brodhead this year? Do we need to purchase
meal tickets in advance? We plan to attend Saturday and Sunday. We have not
been to Brodhead in 2 years, but we have been trying to be "good" for the past
few weeks and the wives let us out of the house this year.

Hey Gang,
I have just finished having my GN-1 inspected and ready to fly.
Question is,
after two years of inactivity and no insurance, who do you guys
use for
insurance coverage?
Previous, I used Butler-Brown and paid around $700 for liability
and
$10,000 full-hull coverage. I am now awaiting a quote. Their
underwriter
ironically enough is headquartered a couple of blocks from me in
Addison, Texas.
I would be interested in finding out what other companies insure
the PIET
and what present day premiums can be expected.
Thanks.

It is a close relative to the gronicle. A devise apparently
