Hi Gary,
Good to see you back on the list. I'm in the final stages of painting mine
now (too late for B-head and OSH, unfortunately). Hope to have it flying
this month.

Hey gang,
A ghost from the past is back and reading the mail again! It's been a long
time and there are some planes flying now that I remember were in the shop
when I was last here.
Mainly though, I wanted to brag about the hubs I just bought from Ken
Perkins. They arrived today and I am super excited and wanted to tell
everyone that if they want spoker wheels and for whatever reason can't or
don't want to make 'em themselves, then order a set from Ken.
I'm sure by now that you all know about them, but I just wanted to thank
Ken in public for helping me get my project back on track again. I'm most of
the way through getting some legs under this thing and now the biggest
single holdup (the hubs) has been bypassed. I hope that I can focus more
time, energy and $$ to the Piet and get her in the air.....
See y'all around the list!

ps: Corky, I 'bout cried when I read your post about watching your baby
leave it's nest. I'm sure that it's going to a loving home. It was sure
lovingly constructed!

Good to hear you are making progress on your Air Camper wheels, Gary and
that you are back on the list. Always nice to have a taildragger pilot AND
A&P mechanic on the list who's building a Pietenpol.
There are more guys from Texas on this list.........Jim Markle, Mike King,
Jim Sury, Oscar Z, Gary M.... shoot, forgive me for the ones that slip my
mind. I've met Jim Sury and he's a great guy along w/ Jim
Markle. Welcome back and stay longer this time.
all the best,
Mike C. in Ohio

Subject: | 75 Anniversary Hats.... |
Rule breakdown below
pts rule name description
Brodhead is approaching faster that I expected, and I'm getting hats to
the embroiderer today! I hope to get the hats done in time for the
trip. This time around the hats will say something like
Cherry Grove 75 Brodhead
On the back and Low and Slow on the front. This edition will be done
in Gold thread. I've got the same hat shells as last time, but with
some added colors. Black seemed to be the most popular front bill size
and so I ordered most in black. I do have a dozen each of the Green,
Red, and Yellow Gold however. If you have particular request for
N-numbers, Names, ETC let me know right away!
Here is the specs and pricing:
The Hat:
Heavy Stone Washed Denim low crown unconstructed buckle back adjustment.
Color is khaki with a green, red, black or gold bill. (sorry no blue
this time....)
One size fits all. Basically I got my favorite hat and called the
manufacture and spec'd it from it. You will love it. It is crushable
and comfortable.
The Image:
The 75 year anniversary image will be similar to the one referenced
below. Check the web site if you want to see the revised image.
http://aircamper.byu.edu <http://aircamper.byu.edu/>
The embroidery:
13000 stitches of the finest thread. I also worked an option for you to
specify your own text up to 25 Characters for $5 i.e.: (Steve Eldredge
NX7229R)
The price
$20 with standard message on the back "Cherry Grove 75 Brodhead"
$25 your own message i.e.: (Steve Eldredge NX7229R)

Brodhead)

I've just finished my aluminum fuel tank. I think I will slush it just for peace

chance
you could spare the time to share it with us on the Pietlist? Carl

I'm new to the group and am seeking a bit of information. I recently ordered a
set of plans, fulls size rib template and a bunch of other items but have not
received word that the PayPal order was recieved by them or that they will be
shipping anytime soon. Calls to the phone numbers listed on their site or emails
to their addresses brings no response. Did I catch them on vacation or do they
not like Paypal orders charged to a credit card. Must say I am stumped. I
sure would like to start studying a set of plans however. Looks like a wood workers
dream come true.
Thanks for any help.
