Surely in all the hundreds of Piets built or started, at least someone has thought about it or maybe even done it. Say maybe 2" or so at the most. That would make for a lot more squirming around room inside the cockpit on those long voyages cross country...you know, with those long range fuel tanks installed. I realize that everything would have to be sized up to accomodate the change and there would be some extra weight, but it's an interesting thought. The rear cockpit on the Piet is going to be about as wide as my 1940 Porterfield, and it sure was a little tight for comfort. Doc __________________________________ Y!
