Sam Here is my brake set up. The brake line goes thru the floor and tees to each caliper. Works very good, but the caliper is a bit undersized and will only hold to about 1400 rpm with the A-65. If you want to see the caliper set up, I can send more detail off line. With a steerable tailwheel I havent had the need for individual brakes. Dick, I'm also going to put a single master cylinder with a hand lever to operate both brakes in my Piet but haven't figured out how to do it yet. Could you post a picture of your brake system? Thanks, Sam do not archive

Dick, Thanks for posting the picture of your brake system. I have a master cylinder with a built in reservoir so I won;t need a separate one. I may place the handlever on the left side instead of the right as you have yours. Sam do not archive

I was very satisfied with what I got...paper thin but sufficient. If you have trouble getting to them with what little I've given you, contact me off line...You have my email address...Carl Vought Can anyone recommend a good source for burl wood for the instrument panel? I saw a great example of this at Oshkosh last summer and it really made the cockpit standout.

I put mine on the right because the throttle is on the left. Dont want to reach for one and hit the other. Bert: thanks very much. I'm a volunteer for an air museum, working on constructing an Air Camper. I'll review these pics with the boss on Wednesday. We never thought of go-cart brakes, but it sounds like a great idea. Thanks very much for your input, and for yourr great web-site. Your plane sure looks like a beauty. I clicked on the "what's a GN-1" link, but didn't look like any info came up. So, what is a GN-1, as compared to an Air Camper, anyway? I think I've figured out what my wood is. It has all the characteristics of the catalpa that I have used for carving in the past. I've still got a fair bit left. The reddish veneer I'm not sure of still.
