What happened to Guinness Stout? Real beer needs to be as dark as used motor oil, the type when you hold the bottle up to the sun, you can't see sunlight going through it, affording UV protection ... flavor and a serious depletion of your wallet. Oh, wait a minute... I recall Lake Havasu has an environmental ordinance that states only light beer is permitted because when someone upchucks Guinness (or other dark matter into the lake) it taints the pristine water and upsets the local Chamber of Commerce. Never mind... ________________________________ Message 5 _____________________________________ Time: 07:59:13 AM PST US From: "John Ford" Subject: Re: Pietenpol-List: Viruses --> Pietenpol-List message posted by: "John Ford" Kip, Chuck, everybody else... Those are most likely coming from somewhere else, using a spoofed return address. I get two or three *from myself* every week. As long as you're running anti-virus software and Chuck's running anti-virus software, everything should be fine. It is always a good habit to never open attachments from unknown sources, and to only open attachments from people you know after you verify they've sent them to you. And of course, burning the occasional CD backup of your important stuff (data such as pictures, turbo tax, address book and favorites, etcetera) every so often is the best insurance. I burn a backup of my office machine every month to a DVD-R, and keep a lot of data on the network where it gets backed-up nightly. It does occur to me though that Chuck probably does have a virus of the sort that makes a person build his own airplane that doesn't have windows and fly it everywhere while leaving a very visible smoke trail, but I digress.. I updated my Norton Anti-virus two weeks ago. Every once in a while, it pops up and says it blocked a worm, or something. I don't know what happened, and I appreciate the notice. Now I'm curious if anyone else had e-mail from me with a virus. Does anyone know how I can search the inards of my computer for a virus ? It does occur to me though that Chuck probably does have a virus of the sort that makes a person build his own airplane that doesn't have windows and fly it everywhere while leaving a very visible smoke trail, but I digress.. John John, Guilty as charged !! It's known as 'Aeronautica Basilica'. Chuck Gantzer
