Someone broke in and took their good 'Ol time hiesting. 6 Antique Wooden Fireplace mantels, a bunch of Lead Stained glass windows and tools. Probably over 20 grand total, file police report-nothing came out of it-Call insurance company didn't see a dime. It's a shame-but life goes on.....as an aside its been reported on the AOPA website that their has been a string of robberies down the Northeast corrider Airports where thieves were stealing avionics out of planes tied downed. Hey big brother how about protecting us and our property in our own communities instead of getting all paranoid with this Post 911 mind set. Yes, Harvey is right. Per statute criminals cannot be harmed unless one can articulate that they were afraid for his or her life or were placed in immediate apprehension of being harmed by an intruder through the eyes of a reasonable person. (determined by courts) When you guys leave your shop for a prolonged period of time, call your local sheriff's dept. or police dept. and request to be placed on their extra patrol list. We do this frequently for our community so the thugs see squads there at varying times of the day and night. Many burglars will strike in the middle of the day when we are at work. ( a good time to push record on that VCR ) Burglars typically do not display violent violent behavior. They do not want to be discovered and do not want to risk being identified. You'll fiind that most are cowards. The only time I've heard of a burglar becoming violent is when an attempt was made at trying to detain them. When a criminals flight or fight response kicks in, they will first attempt to flee. If he cannot, then he will fight. Intead of putting your family and friends in danger, a good camera, some steel reinforced windows on the shop, and an extra patrol request will do alot to deter these idiots. The police are already watching the pawn shops. They do need make, model, serail #, and proof of purchase to help them in recovering one's belongings. Sorry fior rambling. Just my two cents... Many of them are not compatible with coatings other than 2-part epoxies. And that's been verified on the list: check the archives. -------- Phil Miller PietenVair Altadena, CA Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=19312#19312

(like the nose block on your ribs). I think the Sky Scout uses 1/4 x 1/4 ribs. Better ask around some more. Remember to compare rib spacing when comparing Piet's with Junior Aces or other aircraft. -------- Phil Miller PietenVair Altadena, CA Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=19313#19313
