That's where I go but they all are out of them at
the same time. A couple of months ago three of
them had lots of the things so I only bought the
few I needed thinking they'd always be there. Ha!
There are three coatings I know of , zinc, nickel and I
forget the other one.
With the tail parts on it struck me today that it now
looks like a giant lawn dart!!
I wonder how many rubber bands I'd need to launch
it over the house into the front lawn. :-) :-)
I have to stop thinking. This is what got Larry Walters
in trouble. Besides, I don't have a pointy thing to put on
the front of it. That's mine and I'm not going to part with it!

Ken,
William has always been slow delivering parts & it is frustrating to
not be able to get in touch, but keep at it, eventually you will get
through. I imagine it's frustrating when you are really on a roll &
the parts you need just aren't there. My project is so much a "when I
have time" thing & there is so much to do,that I don't usually don't
sweat it - I can always work on some other part. The thing I will
say is that you can count on william's integrtiy - if you order
parts, eventually you will get them.
On another subject, it is just a couple of weeks until EAA Chapter 82
hosts the first "Corvair Wings & Wheels Fly-In" June 2,3,4 at Barber
Airport (2D1) in Alliance, OH
William & Grace will be there with their 601 (weather permitting).
Also, several of the well-known KR-2S builder/flyers, Bill Clapp &
Mark Langford, have agreed to bring their Corvair-powered KR's. We
hope for a good turnout of other Corvair-powered planes, and the
CORSA folks (the car people) have been invited & we expect a number
of Corvair show cars on site as well. There will also be a tour of
the prototype DYNALIFTER Airship being developed by Ohio Airships at
Barber Airport. William, Bill & Mark have promised to make
presentations, and forrest Barber will be leading a forum on
qualifying to fly under Sport Pilot rules.
Anyone who wants more info, contact me off-list or check out the
links at www.taylorcraft.org
As with all Fly-Ins at Barber, there will be a pancake breakfast
Saturday & Sunday. Camping is free on the field, and there are
affordable motels nearby in Alliance.
Hope to see a lot of you there!
Regards,
Kip Gardner

I too have been extremely frustrated with WW delivery of parts. I ordered my stuff
in September 05! I have received about 30% of my order.. I've called, emailed,
called some more.... I have not had one response from them even though
I've spoken with WW twice and Merill a couple times. I know his is a small
buisness but if he keeps at the delivery problems, people might go eslewhere -
and then his integrity might come into question as people may get subpar parts
elsewhere... I wonder if the 601 builders are his focus and that other builders
are getting forgotten about. Anyway, I figure I'll see him a Brodhead and
Oshkosh this year where I can hopefully talk to Grace. If it's like any other
relationship, the woman is the one in charge anyway. I had planned to build
my engine over the winter but now I'm wondering which winter that will be..
I'm calling him right now..
