Hi,
I just put you in. Just a note...
If you go to http://www.flyingwood.com/addDirectory you can add yourself.
Also, if you go to http://www.flyingwood.com there is a link on the upper
left entitled "Piet Directory" under Community Links that shows the
existing directory. At the bottom of the directory is the link to the
page that you can add yourself with.
I will try and add everyone else that replied to the forum.
Corky, can you send over any emails that were directed to you personally?
Glenn

My bad.
I left .asp off the end of the link. I meant to say...
http://www.flyingwood.com/addDirectory.asp
You shouldn't have any problems using the link on the home page.

I was just wondering if anybody knows off the top of their head some specs
on the Model A motor?
What does it weigh, what RPM it turns, and what size prop?
I have an idea for a different auto conversion to try and I just want to see
if it will even be in the ball park.

If anybody has entered something they wish they could change/correct. I
added an edit page. Click on the edit link at the top of the directory.
There is a new entry link and another link for editting existing entries.
It should be fairly intuitive.
This is what programmers do at lunch:)

I'll have to look through my stuff at home to see what the engine weight and
prop size are, but the Ford A engine was rated 40 HP @ 2200 RPM so that
would give you a good idea of prop size. Using any of the online prop size
calculators and a prop diameter of, say, 72", you get a theoretical pitch of
36. So that is a 72x36 prop at 70 MPH, 2200 RPM, 40HP and about 72% prop
efficiency.
Which may be not be anywhere near reality, but maybe a start point.

Better look into this before assuming 40 hp.
http://users.aol.com/gmaclaren/dyno.html
And here's one prop calc.
http://www.mail2600.com/PropDesign/index.html
And the F+G manual lists 244 lb for the bare engine.
