From: "MF" Hi, I'm working on my wing rib jig and I'm plotting the dimensions per the Hoopman drawing #5 dated 3/3/34. I've heard about the illusive low spot but not exactly sure I know where it is or what's the fix. Comparing the plan drawing to pg. 16 of the 1932 Flying and Glider Manual I found where Mr. Pietenpol corrected a dimension by 1/8". (6" corrected to 6 1/8"). (Pg. 16, far right column, second paragraph from the bottom). Is the fix to add 1/8" to the dimension in question or am I going down the wrong track? Thanks, Matt Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=154782#154782 ________________________________ Message 3 _____________________________________ Time: 01:15:17 PM PST US From: RAMPEYBOY@aol.com Subject: Re: Pietenpol-List: Wing Rib "Low Spot"? Matt, I'm just a lurker here, but I remember reading about this too, and if memory serves, I think all you have to do is plot the profile out and "connect the dots", and it will be clear enough for the naked eye to see. Hope this helps...
