The link I followed was this one: http://www.mtnguy.com/kr2/ I asked my engine guru about this and he says he's seen it done before. Of course, if you have a cert engine before you start, you won't have one when you're done. Parts can be scarce, it can only use heavy non-impulse Bendix mags, and it ends up weighing almost as much as a C-85-12 with lightened accessories (sort of seconds what Ben said). Or you could try to find a McDowell Aero Safety Starter. I think Bill Rewey has one on his Piet....
