I have never seen anyone install a control, and cannot think of a reason to do so. With the engine turned 180 degrees from what it would be in a car, I can't figure out how to rig a control that will adjust the mixture from the Piet's cockpit. Any thoughts or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Only three lugs and I don't see any size or load rating listed. Remember that you are building an AIRPLANE which is going to weigh probably three times what an ultralight would. When you rea lly "plant" a landing or hit with a little crab, you don't want a wheel to break up like one did several years ago at OSH.......in front of thousands of spectators!! - Those LEAF brakes might be worth investigating a little closer, though. - Larry Williams xcg, xcmr, epp=0A=0A=0A ________________________________ Message 3 _____________________________________ Time: 07:04:07 PM PST US From: "Patrick Panzera" Subject: Pietenpol-List: Alternative Engine ROund-up Hey guys, Are there enough flying Corvairs west of the Rockies to dominate this event? http://www.contactmagazine.com/Roundup.html I usually have a Corvair forum there each year, but it sure would be nice to see several flying examples this time. I've spoken with William about attending and it's not out of the question, but he might have a scheduling conflict. It sure would be nice to get William out this way when it's not at or below freezing. :) I'm sure we can count on at least Rick Lindstrom to fly his award-winning 601 to the event, anyone else?
