I am sure that they were on this list but I could be mistaken does anyone know where they are? Thanks Carson Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=252539#252539 ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 05:13:01 AM PST US From: "Douwe Blumberg" Subject: Pietenpol-List: easy beaded cowling edge Just finished my cowling (Ford) and when I sat back to admire it, really felt the need for a nice rolled or beaded edge to give the various cutouts that nice finished look. Not having the tooling or expertise to do a true rolled edge, I came up with this idea. I'm sure it's not new, but it was new to me and I'm really pleased with it. Get some soft 1/4" aluminum tubing from the plumbing dept at your local hardware store. Straighten it really well and put a slice down one side with a cutting disc in an angle grinder. Open the slice a bit with a screwdriver and slide it over your cowling edge and bend/shape/form/straighten until it fits perfectly. Remove, deburr it a bit and inject some epoxy in the slot, reinstall and crimp with a padded channel lock or something. Was surprisingly quick, cheap, light and how that it's painted, it is my favorite part of the whole cowling.
