Michael: I swiped a copy of your "Hand Crafted Individually Unique Works of Art" emblem for my screen saver. I am more than a little impressed with your artistic style so would really like to push you towards designing a (CS) logo. Something that would replace that silly "FORD" thing that some of the guys feel inclined to staple to their airplane. And then maybe a fancier one to put on the vertical stab. (Just thinkin'.) By the way, for all you young whipper snappers (as opposed to "crank snappers"), you can include a lot of strange symbols in even simple text documents by just holding down the Alt key while typing in a number between 128 and 255. This is an old trick from MS DOS days. For instance Alt 253 give the superscript . Numbers lower than that will usually equate to normal keyboard characters while numbers higher that 255 are not included in my chart so I don't know what they will produce. Congratulations. Keep it up. This is an important milestone, but now you need to add the hours, see the sites, buy the $$$ burgers, look over more of God's green earth. Get bugs on your teeth. You have done the heavy lifting, fun though it may have been. Now is the second phase of "fun... fun... fun...," and no one takes the T-bird away. Piet builders and fliers are special people, all right. Look what they did to help Kevin Purtee this last week. Look at all the posts in great detail, unselfishly offered, over the years. Sure would be nice to do it in a GN-1. I just want to say that this event is what grassroots flying is all about. No glitzy airshow but great people, great food, and great airplanes all around. Special thanks to Dale McCleskey for bringing the only GN-1 (that I saw) and for the great ride he gave me including some flying from the front hole. I have a real incentive to get my bird in the air and see if I can sit in it long enough to get to Brodhead in 2011. I think Dale was a newcomer to Brodhead but he sure flew the pants off that little bird and he always had a different passenger.
