Shad-I never said WHO was doing the flying did I :) ? After all, when your engine is missing just a bit or you think you hear it missing, isn't good to do a low-pass to scare all the deer and critters o ff the landing site ? I've done that many times at dusk to get deer off our runways to land. It sure is getting cold Shad. Wish me luck.......on Nov 13th. I'm planning on taking the Piet to a brea kfast fly-in at the International Women's Aviation Museum at Burke Lakefron t Airport.....bundle up buddy ! Have hand held Icom and headset, will travel. They show Sitka Spruce available at $8.60/bf for 1" thick rough sawn boards. Compare that with AS&S's spar material at approx $24/bf. (1"x4" = $8/lf) . Their website shows locations in Michigan and Indiana. www.theworkbench.com I have no affiliation or experience with this company, just thought I'd pass along what seems like a good price for wood. The "Red Sparrows" has a fire brigade flying red biplanes, in formation, shooting one another down, crash landing, etc., all on the ground. Unfortunately, I can't get it ot play on my home TV Samsung DVD either and its blue ray and normal. Should I send it back, try it on the computer? I've heard great things and really do want it. Will go anyway you suggest. Will you be at SC in Nov? I will. Thanks again. Pete Anderson -------- Pete Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=316420#316420
