Kids were willing to wait for a ride in the Pietenpol. I mean really we had a nice vintage Cessna 140, J-3, and a Citabria available too! I ended up giving 6 rides, and they were about 25 minutes each, flying out over the Shuttle Landing Facility at Kennedy Space Center. Between all the climbing in and out and the 2.7 hours of flying, I was pretty worn out by the time we were finished. Turned over the milestone of 100 hrs flight time during one of the flights. On Friday I took my 77 year old mother on a 65 mile cross-country to visit my uncle. It was a beautiful day, and we could see the VAB at KSC from 50 miles out on the way home.
