    John, It sounds like maybe you stumbled upon some Lamb tires meant for the slick fast airplanes. I don't think I would put them on my plane. The diameter would make it more difficult to use grass or dirt runways. and then if you stop to think about the remark of lowering the nose of your plane you need to understand that it will only lower the center-line of the axle by 1/2 inch.     And it would move the prop closer to the ground by probably 3/4 inch... If you have a relatively short prop and operate mostly off hard surface runways, you can give it a try.
