This video is of a song written by Livingston Taylor, James' brother to
commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Wright's first flight. I
though you guys and gals would appreciate it.

I flew 629ML Sunday a week ago and it was fairly comfortable - temp on the
ground was mid-40s. I am glad I built the windshields to come up about even
with my forehead. It keeps the wind off my face mostly, and I've been
pleased with the fact that I don't get a lot of air coming down the front 'pit

around my feet. Main thing seems to be to get a good windproof jacket, with
a storm flap over the zipper so you don't get cold air leaking through.

      Hi Adrian,

I am from Watertown SD just South of you. Used to fly my dad's Aeronca Cham
p on skis all winter. It wasn't warm but=C2- bet it was warmer than flyin
g a Piet in the winter. Nice looking Piet and ski installation.

      Cheers,

      Jim B.

Those are Crappies (very good eating). In Tennessee we pronounced it as
croppies. Here in North Carolina they say crappy. I always thought crappy
fishing was where you didn't catch anything

Now get back to rebuilding your Pietenpol, and for heaven's sake .

fantastic Jack. What kind of fish are those. Yeah, I know. You are just
trying to get some interest in a fly in. You won't have to twist my finger.

Snow? I was fishing this afternoon (too warm for deer hunting). Caught 70+
fish, including 32 largemouth bass (which we couldn't keep due to club rules
in the lake where we were fishing). Here's a selection of the ones we did
      keep:

      I love retirement!

Heading to Smith Mountain Lake this weekend and hope to have weather warm
enough to ENJOY flying the Pietenpol.

Ya know Shad... face masks are for sissies. I think it was about 34 degrees
today. The pain in my cheeks and forehead was almost unbearable!
