Subject: | French Valley Visit EAA 1279 |
Good morning Lister's,
I had the good fortune of being invited to the French Valley EAA meeting last Sunday
4-29-12. It was a show and tell meeting for the Piets. It was about a
1.5 hour flight each way for me with good weather both ways.
Their piet looks outstanding. They are currently waiting for an FAA inspection
while tying up some loose ends on the plane. I am very impressed. If you remember,
this is the plane they brought to Brodhead a few years ago. Attached
are three pics. I apologize ahead of time if the sizing is incorrect. The Blue
and Silver plane is theirs.
I'll try and keep the list updated as progress moves on.

Malcolm,
Your Piet is done and flying? How did the wing pivot mechanism work out?

Its official,
It looks as if,Like it or not Gelato di babbo is coming to the
Midwest,Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan and Missouri moving west to Cali, and
south
in to Florida. There is some real excitement going on its going national so
it shouldn't be long, until it hits the there in the southwest. Especially
as the markets keep on expanding. No telling what's next
Get where and when you can.
You been hearing about if from me on and off for more than a year, its
beginning to take on a life of its own. If youre not fortunate like Markel to
get your hands on some youll just have to try it yourself and enjoy!

I was wondering about using streamlined aluminum for the wing struts on my pietenpol,
any comments, pros or cons.
Thanks Larry V
