On a related note, has anyone done a thrust test on their Corvair Piet? I collected
what info I could gather a few years back pertaining to Corvair Piet performance
and props. It is on the site below, but the only static thrust number
that I could find were on KR-2s or test engines.

Been working my butt off in the hangar on my corvair powered piet that I fly a
lot and on which I've used two different props. As a result, I haven't had a chance
to check the list. Alas, now the questions are gone and I can't answer.

      Disappointing.

Interesting chart!! I just did a thrust test last weekend. My prop is
      hand-carved with a target of 66-34. I cannot be sure that=99s
      exactly what I have. Static rpm = 2750 / 300 lbs.

Hi Jim, I was getting about 85 with the warp drive. I don't know if that was
correct. My static port is on the left side facing forward with my corvair.
Somewhere I read that it would make a difference with the left turning engine.
      I
might add another port on the right side. Cheers, Gardiner

Sorry, Dan. Brodhead is not in the cards this year. Dan=99s scales
go back to him next week. Being a man of immense character, I=99m
sure Dan cannot be bribed to bring the scales; although, for a beer or
two, he may be enticed.or, you could just ask!
