Subject: | new fast track project.Baby Lakes |
Hello guys and gals, Dad and I bought a project in Middlesborro KY friday,
a 95% completed Baby Lakes Biplane.- It has very nice welding and so so f
abric (new fabric, good condition, but a 1st timer job).- We are hoping t
o have it done in time to fly it and possibly the Piet up to Brodhead next
year.- It was a GOOD deal, it came with a 1500hr TT,-0 tsoh 65 Cont, wi
th logs back to 1970,-ready to run, new (reconditioned) McCaully metal pr
op and It starts on the 1st blade.- We just need to go thru every nut and
bolt, tripple check the whole airframe, fix some minor fabric issues and p
ut the final coats of paint and trim on and have the FAA airworthiness insp
ection done, then see if we can keep from ground looping it and wiping it o
ut on the 1st flight.- The Jungster is getting put off for a few months u
ntill this Baby is in the air.

Sorry off topic

p.s.- Does this make me a turn coat for buying a Continental "Real Airpla
ne Engine"
