I got it as a fuselage with A-65 engine, tail feathers and some wing ribs. In the meantime, I built an engine mount, made Cub gear, tore down, rebuilt and ran the engine, put in heel brakes, fit a Cub fuel tank, made both front and rear cockpit panels and started the center section. From a looks standpoint, probably the most important thing that I did was rid it of 30 years of cobwebs so it can stand proud. I hope to have the CS and turtle deck done over the winter and start the wings next spring. I, for one, hope to shake hands with ya when you make that N. California trip. My SLO daughter just came home for a visit this week. I won't have my plane close to ready by then, but I can drive to where you land... :-) Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=384972#384972 ________________________________ Message 7 _____________________________________ Time: 09:15:48 PM PST US Subject: Pietenpol-List: Re: moving Scout From: "taildrags" Well then, Mark, just come to SLO next June. I'll be on campus at Cal Poly to present my culminating project for my master's degree in fire protection engineering. If I survive the grilling (pun intended) and walk away with my degree papers, I'll be looking for suggestions for a good place to celebrate! I've never been in the city or set foot on the campus. do not archive -------- Oscar Zuniga Medford, OR Air Camper NX41CC "Scout" A75 power Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=384973#384973 ________________________________ Message 8 _____________________________________ Time: 09:25:08 PM PST US Subject: Re: Pietenpol-List: First Years Progress From: gboothe5@comcast.net That GN1 will have a special story! He's now a freshman at CalPoly studying aerospace engineering. He's quite the Pietenpol kid, having been to Brodhead off and on since before he could walk.
