I have a 3 ft. center section as per Bill Rewey. My tank is welded aluminum with 15 gal. cap. I purchased from ACS the rubber anti-chafe channel that fits a 1 in. steel strap. Bought 72 in. lenths and cut in half resulting in two 36 in. straps. I bent the straps around the tank, fore and aft, and bent the ends 90 deg. and welded on gussets, drilled and bolted thru the ledgers that are secured to the lower portion of the spars and support the tank. Pics attached. -------- Robert Caldwell Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=390872#390872 Attachments: http://forums.matronics.com//files/dsc01277_157.jpg http://forums.matronics.com//files/dsc01273_202.jpg http://forums.matronics.com//files/dsc01267_547.jpg http://forums.matronics.com//files/dsc01269_203.jpg ________________________________ Message 3 _____________________________________ Time: 11:38:40 AM PST US Subject: Pietenpol-List: Re: wing tank mounting ideas From: "aerocarjake" THANKS for posting this - very helpful.... -------- Jake Schultz - curator, Newport Way Air Museum (OK, it's just my home) Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=390891#390891 ________________________________ Message 4 _____________________________________ Time: 03:41:40 PM PST US From: JOSEPH SWITHIN Subject: Pietenpol-List: Merry Christmas Merry Christmas to all of my Pietenpol friends.
