) I would be happy to pay to have these processed, since I am building a Sky Scout. It would be nice to have them in the public domaine somewhere. Maybe in the news letter, or on the Westcoast Piet website? Thanks for making them available. Your fore bearers did a great deal for aviation, you should be very proud! Ah, misread that. Well, if you are looking to get cash on the barrelhead for negatives...that might come off as a questionable investment. A solid print would be far more salable than attempting to ship a roughly 80 year old negative that far, with the assumption that it would be usable when it arrives... I have a high resolution scanner that has a back light for the purpose of scanning negatives. I'd be glad to scan them in if you want to send them this way. I'd be glad to scan them in if you want to send them this way. Of course I would share the full color prints here, and forward the negatives to whomever you choose for safe keeping or archiving. Hey Jack, great article on 3-piece windshields in this month's newsletter! I have often thought that I would like to make these type of windshields and I've seen several examples of this type in progress, but only in still photos... often wondered how I might accomplish all those difficult shapes, angles and bends. Scanning this article to my note folder right now! From: "TaiwanTeacher" <maine_sciguy@yahoo.com>
Greetings: I did a jerry-rigged scan of the negatives, and processed them in Photoshop to reverse the imaging. They look good enough for advertising, but the negatives need a little professional care to bring out the best of them. I hope that people herein recognize that, other than the photo of the Pietenpol my father died in which was so kindly posted elsewhere on the Pietenpol List, these negatives are the only relic I have left tying me to my grandfather's legacy. I also have There are pics of Donnie Pietenpol as a kid. You see, I live in Taiwan, and have VERY limited financial resources. Likewise, it's difficult to manage protecting my rights to any prints. If anyone wants a print, then we'll just have to figure out a way to get one to you at a reasonable cost. email me at: maine_sciguy@yahoo.com if you wish to discuss this further. I'll send you the "rough cuts" of the photos. -------- Pietenpol's Forever! Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=391583#391583
