Subject: | WW first gear article |
Hi all...im about to start building my wood gear and I dont have the first article
that WW and Ryan published in the magazine. I ordered my mag subscription
at that time and the first mag I received started with the second article. Does
anyone have a PDF copy of that mag or first article they could email to me please?
I know I could email Mr Mosher but im sure he is in the throws of heading to the
fly in.

UNCLASSIFIED
You Look Marvelous!.
I wore out two sets with my old 150. Probably more of a reflection on my ability
than on the tires. Then again that was over 600 hours of flying.

I'm going to go for Aero Trainers again. I'm pretty hard on tires, so I'll stay
cheap. I do like the look of plain, fat, ribbed tires on Scout.

Matt,
I got 88mph at 2350RPM out of the 7442 McCauley Met-L-Prop on N8031 - it
was cut down to 72" though. Nice prop. Shined up real good, too.
What happened to the Wille (Hegy?) prop you had/have? It wasn't about
to win any beauty contests, but I thought you said it performed fine.

Matt:
Hope to see you tomorrow at Brodhead!
My GN-1 climbs great with McCauley metal 74x41, that was originally attached to
A65. My Piet GN-1 now has C-85-12. Still swingin' the 41". I burn a lot and have
to spin 2450 to keep up with Cub buddy. I plan on bending prop to 42-43. Will
swap with Cub who has 72x42, and also a metal 74x42 from C-90 (PA-11). I am
interested in what you find out. I need more pitch.
Dan, see you at Brodhead?
